This paper presents the nature of reforms in postgraduate and doctoral education in a wide range of countries (including China, Europe, Australia, Japan, Ireland, Iceland, Brazil, India, Malaysia). It also\u00a0includes a number of reform strategies which may be useful for countries with emerging doctoral systems, such as the \u00a0introduction of North-American type graduate schools that help to implement and initiate innovations in doctoral education on a campus<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Nerad, M.
