{"id":58,"date":"2018-09-20T21:54:28","date_gmt":"2018-09-20T21:54:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.education.uw.edu\/cej\/?page_id=58"},"modified":"2025-10-15T23:00:38","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T23:00:38","slug":"cej-home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.education.uw.edu\/cej\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Center Mission<\/h2>\n<p>The Banks Center for Educational Justice on Coast Salish Lands at the University of Washington is a central location for partnerships, program development, and collaborative research with educational settings that seek to center and sustain Native, Black, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander and all Global Majority young people and communities across multiple intersections with gender, disability, language, land, migration, class, and more.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Current Projects &amp; Partnerships<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Tulalip Culturally Sustaining Education Project<\/em>, a partnership with Dr. Chelsea Craig (Principal at Quil Ceda Tulalip Elementary) and Dr. Anthony Craig (Center Affiliate Faculty &amp; Leadership for Learning Director), funded by generous support from the Spencer Foundation<\/li>\n<li><em>Distinguished Summer Scholars Program<\/em>, a summer graduate course at UW supported by the UW College of Education.
